Mythology island walkthrough in 30 steps

Mythology island is the second longest island in Poptropica. Skullduggery is the longest. Here's the walkthrough for it.

Step 1. Go into the museum

Step 2. As soon as you go in there should be some animation of Hades, Zeus and Poseidon fighting. Keep going right until you find a statue with a starfish on it. Collect the starfish.

Step 3 Exit the museum and go left to the tree of immortality.

Step 4. Climb up the tree to the very top. There you should find a satyr. (half goat half human) He'll tell you that the nymphs have spread his. Honey throughout the tree, and asks you to find them. You get a few seconds to find all of his honey, and if you find it all then he'll create a secret pathway to the golden apple.

Step 5. Take his passageway and pick the apple.

Step 6. Zeus appears! Gee he seems angry! Of course on an island like this, picking an apple is a big deal! Anyway, once Zeus has gone blah blah blah then he'll give you a scroll. Examine it, then leave the tree.

Step 7. Speak to Athena and she says to look in the trees for her help.

Step 8. Go right past the museum to the temple of Groves and enter the temple.

Step 9. Grab a reed pipe and then go to the statue holding a reed pipe to ask how to learn to play it. After you've learn't how to play it the statue will give you some sheet music that you'll use later.

Step 10. Go out of the temple and just keep going left past the tree of immortality into the garden of the sphinx. Turn on or the leavers and lower all the bridges until the water is flowing to the ground. Then take the flower. Also grab the pomegranates.

Step 11. You'll see a door near the sphinx which has colors and numbers on it. Pull out your reed pipe and play the same colors as on the door in the same order as it says on the door. The door will open. Go inside!

Step 12. Keep going left until you find the Minotaur. Ask him for his nose ring and he'll say that he only grants wishes to people who can make there way through the labyrinth.

Step 13. Enter the labyrinth. Make your way through the maze until you find someone who calls himself the pan. The pan advises you about the bone puzzle.

Step 14. Click on the puzzle, and take 6 of the bones away so  you leave the word TEN made out of bones. The door should open.

Step 15. Keep making your way through the maze until you come across a poster with a Minotaur on it. Click on it, and you'll see snakes coming out of the holes in it. The idea is to click on the fast red eyed snakes 3 times. The easiest way to do this is to just keep clicking in the same spot until a red eyed snake appears. Once you've done this the door opens and you exit the labyrinth.

Step 16. Ask the Minotaur for his ring and he'll give it to you! Exit the place.

Step 17. Go back to the grove of temples and jump off the cliff to where hades is. Rub off all the graffiti and then talk to the boy. He'll give you one drachma.

Step 18. Go up into the temple of Poseidon and use your starfish as an offering. The door will open. Enter.

Step 19. At the beach you'll find Aphrodite. Talk to her and she'll give you a quiz. If you complete the quiz she'll give you a teleportation mirror.

Step 20. Dive into the water and keep swimming until you reach an underwater cave. Enter it.

Step 21. Once you've entered the cave you'll find the Hydra. Wait for one to strike and then jump and land on it's head. Keep doing this until you've killed all of them. Then collect another item for Zeus' list.

Step 22. Exit the cave and keep swimming along until you find a clam. Wait for it to open and then collect the pearl inside. Then surface.

Step 23. Go into Hades' temple and use the pomegranates as an offering. The door will open up so go inside.

Step 24. Jump down to the bottom of the pit until you reach the river Styx. When you get there ask the ferryman Charon to help you get across the river in his boat. He'll say yes. Avoid all of the obstacles in the river and you'll eventually get to the other side.

Step 25. Pull out your pipe and play the sheet music that the statue gave you. This should put the Cerberus to sleep allowing   you to grab a whisker from them.

Step 26. Using your magic mirror, teleport yourself back to the main street, then go and talk to Athena. She'll tell you that she learn't something about the items. Then you have to assemble each of the clues from each item in order to spell out: Whoever wields the five sacred items will rule all of Poptropica! Zeus will appear and steal your items, and then Athena begs you to ask Hercules to help you. Hercules is located I the hero hut.

Step 27. Go inside the hero hut and ask Hercules to help you. He'll agree, so teleport yourself to Poseidon's temple. In the underwater maze, Hercules will knock down a rock so you can enter Poseidon's throne room! Talk to Poseidon and he'll give you his trident.

Step 28. Teleport yourself to Hades kingdom and Hercules will move a rock for you. Now you can enter Hades' throne room! Talk to Hades and he'll give you his crown. Exit the throne room and teleport to the area with a lightning bolt.

Step 29. Hercules will smash open the padlock on a gate so you can enter. Once you enter Hercules will try and fight a snake, but it turns out to be medusa who turns him into a statue. From here run right until you find an Aeolus. Give him your drachma and he'll give you a bag of wind. Use it to fly up to Zeus' throne room.

Step 30. Light up all the statues in Zeus's throne room and Zeus will offer a fight. Dodge Zeus's attacks and shoot him with lightning bolts. Grab clouds for more life. Once you defeat him Athena will give you a medallion and 100 credits. Congragulations! You finished Mythology island! Oh, and did you know that you can still use Hades' crown and Poseidon's trident to make you bigger and orange?!

Another post! The creators must love their coffee!

Hey! Yet another post!
You probably already know that when you're in a multiplayer room on Poptropica, you can click the emote buttons on the side of the screen to make your character smile, cry, pout, and jump for joy. Did you know you can also do these elsewhere in the game?

A simple keyboard combination will allow you to use any of the emotes during your adventures, which lets your character react to the story as it happens.

Press Ctrl+Shift+1 to laugh at pompous jerks.

Press Ctrl+Shift+2 to cry when you receive bad news.Press Ctrl+Shift+3 to blow your stack at a faun who's giving you guff. And press Ctrl+Shift+4 to celebrate getting a new item. That's not all! You can combine some of these emotes to create brand-new ones that you won't see in any common room. First, start the angry emote by pressing Ctrl+Shift+3. Once your character's face is red, but before his head pops off, enter either the happy or the sad emote!

New emotes

Another post! Gee, the creators are getting busy
Today we added a new Gold Card item to the store. It's called Smiley Potion. Use it like the Love Potion. You can choose one of three smiley faces to attach to another Poptropican or even yourself.

I decided to put on a disguise and try it out on Spy Island. Yeah, I know. I'm pretty sneaky
See ya soon!

New ad: Diary of a wimpy kid movie!

Greetings American's Australian's, Europeians and whatever other country you may come from. Poptropica has released a new ad at a few mainstreets including Skullduggery island. This ones averting the Diary of a wimpy kid movie. (there's been slot on Poptroppica about Diary of a wimpy kid, hasn't there?) Anyway, inside the ad's building (the school)you'll find a movie trailer, a link to the cheese touch game and Greg in a wrestling suit. When you ask Greg what he's been doing, he says he's just written in his Diary. Then he says that you should try it and gives you a diary and a wrestling suit. Hold it! A few things wrong here: Greg is inside the school right? Well he's also on the mainstreets. Maybe he teleports himself into the building while you enter. But the Poptrooican out the front says that he's in there at this very moment! So the only possible explanation is that the Poptropican inside the school is a fake. A hologram. This would explain why they look different, why he calls his diary a diary instead of a journal, and why he gives that wrestling suit as if it looks cool. (he hates the suit in the book!) In short, it is impossible that comic kid created this ad, because comic kid is Jeff Kinney, the author of Diary of a wimpy kid, so he would know him well. Phew! Alright, I'm done!

Randomizer! (yeti yeta)

Hey, again. Lately I posted the complete skullduggery island walkthrough for you!
Captain Crawfish: You don't have to tell the world how to defeat me!

Dafster: Ahem, captain Crawfish, I defeated you. Your not supposed to be here!

Captain crawfish: Oh,sorry!
Dafster: Anyway, I'll be posting walkthroughs for other islands soon, but until then, I'll leave you with the PCB's latest post

Poptropica Tips and Tricks: The randomizer
Poptropica has lots of great costumes and accessories that you can buy from the store, or costumize from the characters you meet on your adventures. But did you also know that you can get a random costume any time you want?

It's simple: just press Ctrl+Shift+R and an entirely new Poptropican will appear. Everything will be different, from hair style to accessory. Here's some of what you might see.

Just a handsome pirate hanging around on Skullduggery Island. And then:

A pink-colored athlete.

A suave-looking fella in sunglasses.

This last guy looks like my accountant.

Be careful, though. Once you switch costumes using the randomizer, there's no way to switch back right away! (Unless it's a costume you bought in the Poptropica Store. Those stay in your inventory.)

Speaking of which, where did I put my eyepatch?

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Ahem! Captain crawfish! I told you before: I've beaten you! (sigh) nevermind. Anyway, that last part of the post where he aid that you couldn't change back unless you have the costume is wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong! You can change back IF you have a magic mirror!
Captain crawfish: Okay, but you only have to say wrong once. Whup! I talked!
Dafster: you've been talking to the Ultra smart guy haven't you?!
-dafster

Cell phone costumes

Hey! DafstR here! The ultra smart guy has agreed to not cut in to any of my posts.
Ultra smart guy: Yep, I'm not gonna... Whup!
Dafster: (sigh) Anyway here's the Poptropica creators latest post:

In Nabooti Island, one of the items you acquire to help complete your quest is a cell phone. Did you know that you can also use it for fun?

First, go to the Mountains of the Moon and enter the cave at the top of the mountain. Pick up the cell phone in the bottom left corner of the cave. Then, start dialing for costumes!

Dialing "911" will get you this lovely police hat.

In real life, you dial "411" to get information. In Poptropica, you dial it so that you can get a brain that already has all the information.

If you're looking to impress your friends with your incredible computer sk1llz, this next costume is for you. Dial "1337" for these elite threads.

That looks spectacular with the brain hair. I sense a fashion trend!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
Alright, probably not a fashion trend, once you've got that costume on, you look like a... oh never mind. You may of also realized the new poll! The question is: how much TV do you watch on the weekend. You can answer 18-24 hours, 2-4 hours, none at all, or what's TV?If your answer is neither of these then just vote to the nearest amount of hours, OK? Cool.

Special guest and the pest control

Okay, so Poptropica announced it's special guest: Greg Heffley from diary of a wimpy kid. Now come on, who would know that? The picture looked loads like an alien! I really don't know how that could look like Greg Heffley, how do those two little hairs on that Greg heffley looking head look like Greg heffley? I mean really...

Real ultra smart guy: He knew it was Greg.
Dafster: Grrr... fine Mr. Smart guy, if you know everything then how about you tell me what to do next? Ooooh, finding it hard hey? Well then...

Real ultra smart guy: Get on with the post.

Dafster: your despicable... Any way, here's wha the
creators had to say about Greg:

Poptropicans, please welcome the wimpy kid himself to Poptropica!

Greg Heffley is waiting for you on the Main Street of
your favorite Island with some exciting
news. Visit any Poptropica Island for the scoop!

BLACK WIDOW
Hmmm... Fine it does look like Greg. If you go and see him he'll say to come back on Thursday to see the cover of his next book! Then when you come on Thursday he'll probably say to come back on Sunday to find out when it comes out. In case this happens then I'll tell you: it comes out November the 9th. I think the creators are posting almost every day, and when they don't they make up for it by posting extra the next day! See, they also sent this post on the same day:

This week we're going to be sharing some neat tips and tricks to help you get a little more from Poptropica. We've hidden a lot of fun easter eggs in the game. You may have found some already!

Have you ever noticed how many of the background objects in Poptropica are interactive? Sometimes even more than you'd think. Take the crab that's crawling around the first screen of Time Tangled Island.

He certainly looks mopey. But he'll look even more mopey if you click on him.

See how he gets squished? Well, just see what happens if you keep clicking on him real fast!

Yikes! He explodes. Your Poptropican has to dodge the debris.

Don't worry, though: he'll come back together and be good as new in no time.

The same cannot be said for the roaches that infest Bucky's hotel room on Reality TV Island.

Those little buggers move fast. If you can catch up with them, here's what happens:

If you leave the room and come back inside, they'll be ready to be squashed all over again.

Have you found any more clickable objects in Poptropica?

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Plus, special Poptropica membership cards are coming soon! They just keep getting busier don't they?

Real ultra smart guy: gradually...

Dafster: that's it! Would you stop...

Raving rabbids travel in time

Hey all! I've told you about rayman origins, but I haven't told you about Raving rabbids travel in time! I'm guessing most of you aren't too keen on those . So let me tell you which games are te good ones: Rayman raving rabbids, Rabbids go home and now raving rabbids travel in time. Raving rabbids travel in time isn't actually out yet though. It comes out November the 11th and I'm guessing it has NO minigames! Check out the website here:
http://rabbids.uk.ubi.com/travel-in-time/

Links to the right

Yo! It's Dafster here! You may of come across those links on the right hand side. Well I have some advice for you: Click on them! One of them is a link to the Rayman origins official website, another goes to the ubiart website, and note that two of the links go to Poptropica because that is very important! And who could forget my cafepress shop! Anyway, if you happen to be on Poptropica and are in a room where you can meet other poptropicans, then watch out for me! My Poptropican's name is comical hippo and he looks like my avatar at the top of this blog. I should have a multiverse party! Yeah, I like that idea! How about it?
-Dafster

A surprise (apparently)...and vampires

Oh, looky looky! A surprisy! Iy Wondery whaty ity isy! The poptropica creators say that Greg Heffley from Diary of a wimpy kid... I MEAN A SURPRISE GUEST is visiting Poptropica.Obviously not Greg Heffley. It has to be an eight eyed monster from outer...
Real ultra smart guy: Why don't you just show us the creators post?

Dafster:Hey! Great idea!

A special guest is coming to Poptropica!

Greetings, Poptropica fans!
Recently, the creators of Poptropica learned of an
exciting new development: Next week, a special

Are you a fan of vampires? We've got a whole new set of vampire looks just waiting to be costumized. Check them out in the Poptropica store!

MASTER MIME

Okay,so erm... Did you see how it looked like an eight eyed monster from outer space?

Real ultra smart guy: how about we talk about the vampire costumes?

Dafster: Okay, well for starters, why is there only one costume for boys, and 3 costumes for girls? I bet this has something to do with the eight eyed alie...

Real ultra smart guy: Forget the eight eyed alien!!!!!!

Dafster: Sorry, in other news there is a new ad on the main screen for steamworks island! Sounds pretty cool! If you were wondering why there aren't any pictures in my posts, it is because I am posting with my iPod so I can't add any pictures. Anyway, Bye for now.

The hub for steamworks island

UPDATED
We've done a lot of detail work on the Hub for Steamworks Island. Before we can call it done, we've got to give it one more pass to make sure it's got character.

Ahh... that's the stuff. The Hub looks old, weathered, and worn. It looks like it was once a city on a hill. Now, it's grungy and decayed. And dangerous.

There's lots more to see and do on Steamworks Island, and we'll be showing you more soon. In the meantime, maybe we can all try to figure out what that blue thing is doing.

BINARY BARD

As you may know, Poptropica is soon releasing a new island called "Steamworks island". They have sent a few posts about how they are creating a building for the island called "The hub" heres how they do it:

Details, details...
The Hub on Steamworks Island continues to evolve. Now, all of the elements are colored in, and we've added some detail to try to tell the story of the island.

This version of the Hub is overgrown with vines and weeds. The wobbly angles of its structure are making it look like the whole thing could topple at any moment. And, of course, there's now a sign telling everybody where they are.

Almost done!

Filling in the Hub
Time for a pop quiz: Can you tell the difference between the picture we posted yesterday and the one below?

Most of the background elements still look the same as they did yesterday: flat and monochromatic. We're adding more detail to the Hub on Steamworks Island. We've colored in some of the more important foreground objects. They really pop off your screen!

That doorway in the upper-lefthand side of the screen looks mighty intriguing, wouldn't you say?

The Hub takes shape
The Hub started life as all of Poptropica does, as a simple idea and a sketch. Before long, we take that idea and turn it into reality. But did you know how many different revisions a single scene takes before it gets the Poptropica stamp of approval?

At first glance, this might look like a well developed scene.

But look a little more closely. Why is almost everything the same color? Why does it all look so flat? And what the heck is that blue thing on the right, anyway?

No, the Hub isn't done yet. Not even close.

What's all the Hub-bub?
One of the places you'll visit on Steamworks Island is what we call the Hub. It's a sight to see! A rickety tower, a massive drawbridge, and pot-bellied steam stoves powering everything. Safe to say that you've never seen anything like the Hub before.

Er, at least, you won't have seen anything like it. To start with, this marvel of modern engineering just looked like this:

Yes, it's hard to see what all the hubbub is about -- yet. Just wait until you see how this one develops!

BINARY BARD

Welcome to DafstR blog!

Congragulations to whoever is reading this! This is my very first post, so when I reach 100 posts or so, you can say that you were here from the beggining! So the first questions on your mind are probably:
1. What is DafstR blog?
2. What sort of posts will it have?

Well, to answer the first question, DafstR blog isn't going to be about ME. DafstR blog is a blog especially designed for walkthroughs and cheats for games I play like Poptropica and Rayman. To answer the 2nd question, I will post about posts on the Poptropica creators blog and news about Rayman and more. Hope you get the most out of reading future posts.
-DafstR =D
P.S: On the right are the archives, where you can view my latest posts! Keep checking there to see if there are any new posts!
